Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, 12GB RAM, 256/512GB ROM is coming soon
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to debut at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event next month.
Full design and spec sheets for the Z Fold 5 foldable have leaked online weeks before their expected unveiling at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event next month. The leak has revealed all the details, leaving little to be desired, except for a few surprises for the audience’s anticipation. Samsung will also unveil several new devices at the event in Seoul, South Korea at the end of July, including the Galaxy Watch 6, Watch 6 Classic, Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, and Galaxy Buds 3.
The leaks come courtesy of SnoopyTech, and feature both devices in all their glory. Starting with the Z Fold 5 renders, the device resembles the Fold 4. Thanks to the vertical three-camera setup on the back. And the minimal bezels of the device in a centrally located punch-hole camera cutout on the front. While the volume rocker, the power button is placed on the right side.

Feature
The Z Flip 5, however, looks very different from its predecessor. Mainly due to the larger cover screen on the front, reminiscent of the Moto Razr+ as the front dual-camera module is also now horizontal instead of vertical. It will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. The Fold 5 will be bundled with a 4400mAh battery and will operate on Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1 as its user interface. It will also be rated IPX8 for waterproofing.
Camera
The imaging options include a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a 12MP telephoto shooter with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 4MP under-display camera with an f/1.0 aperture on the inside. Additionally, there is a 10MP camera on the outside. It will also feature a (f/2.2) selfie camera. Connectivity options include an NFC chip, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB-C 3.2 port. The device will also have dual SIM functionality along with NanoSIM and eSIM support. It will come in three different color variants, namely Phantom Black, Cream, and Icy Blue. The Fold 5 measures approximately 6.71 cm x 15.49 cm x 1.34 cm and weighs approximately 253 grams.
Display & Other feature
The rumored specifications for the Z Flip 5 suggest that it will have a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED main display with a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The display resolution is expected to be 2640 x 1080 pixels. Contrary to the previous rumor of a 3.4-inch 748 x 720-pixel rear second display. The Z Flip 5 is expected to feature a different configuration. It will help users quickly browse text, start and stop music, take selfies with the rear camera, etc. Like the Fold 5, the Flip 5 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. But it will come with 8GB of RAM. It comes in 265GB and 512GB storage options.
Reports suggest that the Flip 5 will have a 12MP ultra-wide shooter on the outside, featuring an aperture of f/2.2. Furthermore, it is expected to come equipped with a 12MP main camera, having an aperture of f/1.8. Additionally, there will be a 10MP selfie camera on the top with an aperture of f/2.4. It will carry a 3,700mAh battery and should run Android 13 out of the box. The Flip 5 provides various connectivity options. USB-C 3.2, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, and the ability to support dual-SIM functionality with both nanoSIM and eSIM. It will come in four colors: lavender, mint, cream, and graphite. The Flip 5 measures about 7.19 inches long, 8.51 inches high, and 1.51 inches thick.
